  1. Here’s how it works:

    – Step 1: Go to their site. Right-click → Inspect → Lighthouse (Chrome) or whatever browser audit tool you’ve got.

    – Step 2: Run the audit, download as PDF/HTML/JSON whatever you prefer.

    – Step 3: Throw it into ChatGPT and say: *“Give me the problems, the solutions, and rewrite this in a corporate tone that matches this job description.”, paste the job description.
    – Step 4: Copy-paste that into a clean Google Doc/Gamma, attach it with your resume. Done.

I hope this helps everyone out there applying to jobs doing their best. Thanks for watching.

  2. Might want to clean the AI markers out of the text though… Simple things like remove difficult for a human to add characters etc… If you know what to look for there are many clues as to the origin of content…

  3. Every company I have worked at outsourced their public website to a third party. Unless the company you’re applying to built the website, this probably doesn’t make much difference.

  4. Yeah, that girl from H&M will look at your hints, and all she’ll do is go to her client’s senior developer and tell him their page sucks.
Honestly, if you know how to find a good job, why do you post crappy videos on YouTube? Why don’t you work for Google instead?

  5. A few weeks ago you were calling out companies who asked for people to do a test project as part of the recruitment exercise. But now you've turned 180 and are recommending people to voluntarily do free work for the company they are applying to without then asking??

  6. This definitely doesn't apply to most jobs at all. This is limited to jobs where you only see the web front and not the portal in which you actually operate your day-to-day from.

  7. Don't think i'd ever do this except if i am totally desperate (which i am not since i am living in Europistan). Any kind of value that i am adding to a company is going to be paid for. No freebies. They don't hand out freebies either so why should i ? To stand out ? No way in hell.

  8. So I have done this since 2021 once I realized lighthouse was in beta in chrome. It really doesn’t take much to standout as a candidate, as a tech engineer anyway, I can’t speak for other professions…

My favorite thing to point out was content security policy giving them the snippet to fix it, preventing from outsiders injecting scripts into their website be it phishing on screen share or on like a mobile web app to get lower price at a retail store

  9. I've been at a VP level for years and hired 100+ people. If someone applied to a job with this "attachment", to one of my roles. This is my take. Immediate red flag in that the M-dashes are a dead giveaway it's AI. But even if they edited a bit to fix that and make it seem less obvious. I would ask them questions about how they went about it, what the report actually means, in the live interview. If they don't have fundamental knowledge and just memorized the AI generated report, with just some basic 'devils advocate' style questioning it would become apparent they had no idea of the actual meaning of the report/recommendations and were just tossing what the AI generated, the moment I ask them about something that isn't in the report. If you are going to make recommendations to a company to use their resources and dev time to make fixes, you should be prepared to defend it an in interview, to show you truly understand why you are recommending beyond a surface level. In person they are cooked. Even if they have Cluely in a remote interview, I still think it 99% of the time it would become apparent they didn't actually know what they were talking about. If the person has foundational knowledge, Cluely can certainly help them a lot. But a business analyst role without tech background making website improvement recommendations to me? I feel like at this point anyone except the least tech savvy/most naive is going to be able to spot when someone is just copy-paste regurgitating in an interview without actually understanding the concepts. But if you want to try this go ahead maybe it will work. Just my 2 cents.

  10. Yeah, don't waste your time doing all of this, even if it was done quickly through AI

They will just take this information, pass it onto someone already working for the company and move on from your resume if you don't hit the right notes

  11. Not worth it. This role and especially digital marketing is HYPER-COMPETITIVE! It’s so oversaturated with overseas applicants, far more skilled people, and especially AI that it’s not worth it. Tried for years and gave up and switched to something else and got a job with them.

  12. On the one hand, this is an interesting idea that would certainly improve your chances.

On the other hand, I can see greedy companies taking advantage of this, and getting free work out of applicants.

Unfortunately, this idea won’t be optional in the future for web development applications.
