  1. I had one client who started with $200, and a few years later he placed an order worth a few million. When I asked him why, he said: ‘You were the only one who took me seriously when I was starting out at the kitchen table. (not direct web building but computer systems what i did in past)

  2. Elementor is expensive for me I am from India I never have worked with clients outside of my hometown, but I wish to. Especially international. How do I charge a monthly maintenance fees on top of Elementor and other Plugin subscriptions for wordpress?

  3. Well! I tried starting in some freelancing platform….let me tell you, it's absolute shit show right there. People are racing to offer less prices. I left seeing those. Most of the clients there also comes with low budget.
But yes, people who are just getting started, these low budget clients are good place to start.

  4. Hey Jeffrey awesome topic and very well put. I have been down the same path with people at both ends of the spectrum and actually turned one down after watching your video so thanks for re‐affirming what my gut was saying to me and stay away from this client! 😊

  5. I stuck with low budget clients. I constantly worry that my portfolio is not good enough, that my skills are not good enough. I've redesigned my personal website 6 times and I'm still not happy with it. Then I start thinking "it's kind of embarrassing that I use WP, maybe I should learn some JS stack like all those cool guys". But that means starting over. Doubts and uncertainty is the name of my game. Kind of tired of that.

  6. Hello sir, thank you very much for such an informative video. I have once had the honor of talking with you many years ago. Back then I was just a starting freelancer and you gave me some starting advices. Really appreciated that.

I can see how important it is to have a video call with the potential client. I will buy a good camera and microphone soon and get everything on the right track. I am an introvert and also, English is my 3rd language which might make things slightly more difficult starting off but hopefully all goes well.

My current most important problems are:
    1. How and where do I find the people who need my services? (I am from Bangladesh and nearly 0% chance of getting local client and they wouldn't wanna pay more than $100/site)
    2. How do I start a conversation with them? What kind of questions should I ask to asses their mentality?
    3. Budget, closing deal, etc… Any advice would be highly appreciated.

    Thank you.

  7. Jeff, been watching you for years, but I think this is the first time I've commented. This video resonated so much with me, and I was getting worked up with you when you started to get worked up talking about experiences with difficult people. I feel you bro! And I agree 100% with everything you said in this one. Thank you for your content!

  8. Greetings, when I received the email explaining the content of this video, I read it with great interest and seriousness. And once again, I realized that low-budget projects mean more clients and business in the future. I've been in web design for 10 years. Your videos and articles don't just educate; they also make me happy to watch you guide me. Thank you.😊
